Hello everyone, I am Simar, the Scouting + Strategy Lead of FRC 1073
FRC 1073 is introducing a Weekly Scouting “Newsletter” for the New England Region. Every week for New England competitions, we will release a visualized form of the data from that competition. There will be 2 charts released, a Bubble and a Bar Chart, which will all be public on Tableau! We are hoping to release a basic bubble chart for everyone’s Day 1 scouting meetings, at the end of the first day of competitions. We will release a full dashboard (bubble and bar chart for all Qualification Matches), by the day after the conclusion of the competition. There will also be a master dashboard, which will have the data for all teams across New England, from every event, so you can see the progression of competition levels across events. This will be updated weekly, around the same time that the full dashboards are posted. I have made a Week 0 Example, which will be hyperlinked at the end of this post, and is an example of the full chart, which will be released after the event has ended.
This data will be scouted by teams who graciously signed up to help us out: 2370, 1153, 7407, and ourselves, 1073. Thank you to everyone who signed up!

The link to all of these visualizations should be publicly available on any internet browser, but if you are interested in learning how to use Tableau, there is a free Tableau Desktop Key included in the FRC Virtual Kit of Parts!

Here is the master NE Chart comparison! This has all the teams from SE Mass and Granite State right now, and will be updated every week to include all the events in New England

Once we get more weeks of events, the Week filter will become more useful, but currently it just shows Week 1 Events.

This is all average points, and was scouted online, so some values may be slightly off, but we tried our best to validate and make sure the data was as accurate as possible.
Will you be doing complete 2-days for Waterbury or Western?
Yes, these will be added once we get data for both events; currently waiting on RIDE full data so that I can publish the full week 2 charts, but I think I will just wait until this week’s events are done to publish the full Week 1-3 comparisons
RIDE data is taking a long time to figure out, but I will just be releasing a bunch of charts here
This is the final NE Western District Event Chart:

For the bar charts, any team that has done two+ events will show up as a higher compiled score over their two events, but you are able to see/compare categories of their gameplay per event (endgame to teleop to auto). Filters are working, and should be relevant now!
