QUESTION OF THE WEEK!!! [08-05-01]
Hi all, team forum happened last Wednesday, and a lot of team advisors/engineers had a chance to meet with each other again to discuss the competition without the enormous stress during a regional/national. Hopefully it was both a productive AND peaceful experience ( :wink: unlike the actual competition)ā€¦ To us ā€œoutsidersā€ who didnā€™t attend the forum, we can only read notes from attendees for a glimpse of what actually happenedā€¦

So, with that in mind, here is the question of the week for both ā€œinsidersā€ AND ā€œoutsidersā€ of the team forumā€¦

QUESTION 8/5/01 : What key issues from the team forum do you think are important in the sense that they are ā€œimmediate problems that need to be solvedā€, or ā€œconstructive suggests that will keep FIRST functional successful for the many years comingā€, or ā€œcontroversial issues that raised a lot of discussions/argumentsā€, or ā€œthings that made you extremely happy/glade (or just plain old ā€˜canā€™t stop smilingā€™) because someone brought them upā€ā€¦

I saw couple of engineers/advisors started posting again because they were dying to share what they went through, so maybe we can break some off-season trends and make this place alive again!

From an outside point of view, I think the issue of limiting nationals is really big. Something needs to be done but the question is what should be done. There were many things brought up that needed to be addressed but I think this is very important to deal with as soon as possible. If we wait to long there will be a sizeable problem.
