Best Hotel (when there for FIRST): All Stars
It’s where all the action is, and after staying there for 2 years, and 1 still in Disney, but not in the All Stars, I say that they get 5 FIRST logos for allowing for team interaction.

Best Ride at Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain
Something about a roller coaster in the dark that’s just plain cool! and on that note…

Best Ride at MGM: Rockin’ Roller Coaster
I’m not a Tower of Terror fan (sorry everyone!) but this roller coaster was really fun…inverted loops in the dark…total fun! Even better than Space Mountain =)

Best Ride at Epcot: Journey Into Imagination
Come on everyone, Figment is by FAR the coolest Disney character! I was rather upset that they changed the ride, the old one was better, but Figment still noses ahead of Test Track =)

Though when I was little, my mom said my favorite ride overall was the Monorail  No park hoppers needed!

Best Park: Epcot
Something about the giant golf ball I think…I just like the technology theme and how Epcot looked into the future (and of course Figment!!)

Best Hotel: All Star, if you are there for FIRST, there is no where better.

Best Ride: Tower of Terror

Best Park: Magic Kingdom. Nothing tops the original.

c’mon, you KNOW it’s space mountain

: Best Park: Magic Kingdom. Nothing tops the original.
yeah, but after they got rid of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, it was all downhill, now I think it’s a tie between Epcot and Magic Kingdom

Hello everyone (again)…geez, Ive written a lot today…

Anyways, #237 has for its 2 years in existence stayed at Dixie Landings. I keep hearing all this good stuff about All-Star, and I think it’s high time for my team to try it out. Though some people are all-for-it, there are still some people who need convincing. Does anyone have any solid ammunition I can use (other than the fact that it’s cheaper?)

Thanks

Hope this helps:

We stayed at All-Star Music 3 yrs ago, Carribean 2 yrs ago, and Dixie last year.

ALLSTAR POSITIVES:

  1. Great pools (shaped like guitars, pianos, etc, and are VERY LARGE)
  2. Each ‘hotel’ has a theme (ie. in music: country, rock, etc.)

ALLSTAR NEGATIVES:

  1. More of a pack 'em in attitude
  2. Disney busing sends one bus to all three resorts (music, sports, movie) for each spot, so buses take longer and can be much more crowded
  3. If you have a hotel at teh back of the resort (we did), it can be a long walk in the morning to get to the front gate for breakfast
  4. If you are at the Country resort, there are 30-ft fiberglass pink boots that one of my friends always hit his head on in the morning - it was pretty hilarious.

Overall, both are great, but I would give a slight edge to Carribean. But any of the three resorts is an excellent choice

Nate B, Team 107

P.S. Didn’t Disney drop the deal for ALLSTAR RESORTS last year a couple of weeks into the competition? I thought it was because they could get more money from individual families coming for Spring Break.

ha ha, got you to read

Best Hotel: Tie between Dixie Landings and Carribean Beach. Carribean Beach has the better pools and the beaches (give you the good paradise feel) and a lot of restaurants, but Dixie Landings also makes you feel like you are back in the country and also has good food. Not to mention the stuff to do- rent boats (3 kinds) or bicycle cars, and football is pretty fun on the sand at c.b. (expect when you lose important stuff…heh)

Best Ride: Countdown to Extinction (Good effects)and I love rockin’ roller coaster (esp. when you get a fast pass)
Best Park: Tie between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon (gotta love those water rides!!! not to mention the wave pools and the live shark attraction!!)

Best Attraction: Tie between Disney Quest and Innoventions- the technology is awesome, and at disney quest i rocked at the mighty ducks pinball and I loved the Bill Nye rollar coaster simulator… mine were all fives!!

Hi all, here is my Disney favs…

Best Hotel - Definately All Star Music, hey what can I say, it has the perfect place for a football game, right Lora?

Best Park - Definately MGM, it has everything I love there, from Star Tours, to Rockin Roller Coaster

Best Ride - My all time favorite is definately Star Tours, all though Kali Rapids at Animal Kingdom (Thats where we got soaked DJ) is a close second

Best Attraction - MUPPETS 3D!!! My all time favorite thing at Disney. All I gotta say is those two guys on the balcony rock!

Best Place to Eat - Rainforest Cafe, without a doubt the most fun place to eat and run up a $200 plus bill with a group of 10…Grady party of 10, please come up to the elephant, your safari’s about to begin!

Andy…

I strongly disagree with that All-Star part…it’s too hard for us to get there if we arent staying there…and esp. if you have like 10 kids coming to play football cutting it close to curfew and we have to bus hop about 12 times!!!

next year, do it somewhere easy to get to, give me and nate a break

Football again? I am there… just make sure we really have a football and don’t have to be forced to use a rubber chicken.

Best Park: Gotta go with Epcot. How can you go wrong with all the technology stuff? It also happens to be where the Competition is held which is even better.

Best Ride: The Rockin’ Roller Coaster, most definately. It’s Space Mountain done right. And who doesn’t like going fast? And I realize that the Best Ride isn’t in the Best Park but that’s beside the point and anyways, Test Track is a close second (in the same vein as going fast).

Best Hotel: Hotel? Who spends time at the Hotel when your in Disney World?! Oh yeah, the parks close at 10 pm. All Star has the whole FIRST-People-Everywhere going for it but I still have to go with Dixie Landings (never stayed there for a competition though). All Star has too much of the put as many people in a small place thing that bothers me.

Best Event: Need I even say it?

Best Restaurant: Restaurant? I had to use those stupid meal tickets so I didn’t get to eat in restaurants…

Best Breakfast: Steak & Eggs. Only affordable with the meal tickets and quite good. Who’d a thought you could get Steak on the meal tickets?

Best Lunch/Dinner: None of it was particularly good and the only consistently edible thing at the Competition Food area was the Chicken Ceasar Salad (hence Matt ate it way too much…well twice, but it was only over 3 days).

For those of you who couldn’t tell, I’m incredibly bored over Thanksgiving Break at home.
