Reading through the rules, I looked at the queue rules because the game videos never clarified: can you queue a power-up after one of your own power-ups? In section 4.3 or the game manual, it says:
" If an ALLIANCE plays BOOST of FORCE during the time when an opposing ALLIANCE’s POWER UP is active, the POWER UP is queued and becomes active immediately upon the conclusion of the currently active POWER UP."
So clearly you queue after an opponents power-up, but can you queue after your own power-up? I didn’t see anything in the manual about it, so tell me if one of you guys do.
In the paragraph above in the same section it says
An ALLIANCE plays a POWER UP by pressing the corresponding button on the VAULT. Only one (1)
instance of the FORCE or BOOST POWER UP can be active at a time. The LEVITATE POWER UP can
be played at any time during the TELEOP stage.
So since only one powerup can be active at a time it would be added to the queue and go into play when the previous powerup runs out.
It only says power ups will be added to the queue if their buttons are pressed when an OPPONENT’S power up is activate. It doesn’t say anything about queuing if your own power up is currently active.
Maybe the button won’t be active while your other POWER UP is active?
This should be asked of Q&A. Because if you assume that there’s a queue and you’re in it, you’d miss the points if you were wrong and there was no queue. Fortunately the lights tell the story of a POWER UP in effect or in queue.
