Our team is working to hook up the radio controller to the robot controller, and it isn’t quite working.
Originally, we just had to wiggle it around for a while, and make sure the screws were tight, but now it’s not working all together. Has anyone else had such a problem, or should I call FIRST?
Currently we’re tethering it up, but that’s not going to work for long!
Can you be a little more specific then ‘isn’t quiet working’? Is there a communication failure? Is it not detecting the radio or OI? Is the team number set correctly? Is there any other wireless device in the area that could be causing interferance?
Both the user radio and the robot radio say “Standby” but the motherboard has a red light for the radio controller, and the operator interface has the same. There isn’t any interference in the area, we’re the only ones here, and we’ve never had it before. Our team number’s set, too.
Try swapping the radio cables out for fresh ones one at a time. It might be a bad connection. If you have radios from last year try swapping those in as well.
Out of curiosity and incase anyone else has a similar problem. Did you ever figure out what the problem was and what did IFI say to do to fix the problem?
We re-teatherd. Though our team number said 1350 on it as it should, we had to reset all the numbers and try again. I guess ours had gotten moved around in transit.
