Our team is trying to save some money and hassle by converting an old robot to RC. We are using the Radiolink T8S and mecanum mixer to achieve this. We thought it would be somewhat easy to configure the T8S, but in combing through documentation it seems like the customization of the buttons is extremely limited.
Does anyone have any experience programming these controllers for robots? The docs only use model aircraft terminology and we are really stuck. We have two main questions.
Can the trim buttons be overridden for cross-channel purposes?
Can SWA/SWB switches trigger multi-channel functionality?
If anyone is knowledgeable with this and could describe a way to go about this, that would be greatly appreciated. It seems as if the firmware locks down these functionalities, leaving us with two joysticks and 2 toggle switches as the only programmable interactions–which would be a bummer!
