For over a year, students on Team 3990: Tech for Kids from Montreal have been leading the OUR Sport initiative to have competitive robotics recognized as a sport in Quebec.
Our mission is simple: to ensure robotics students have the same opportunities as traditional athletes- access to proper competition venues, increased scholarships, Sports-Study programs, and support from specialized professionals. These changes can empower for thousands of students and inspire them to pursue their passions on an equal footing.

This is bigger than just Quebec. Whether you’re from Canada or anywhere else in the world, your support matters. We’ve launched a dedicated website to gather global support, and we’ve even published an official petition on the Quebec National Assembly website.
Robotics is already recognized as a sport in 4 U.S. states and 2 countries. Together, let’s take the next step and give robotics- and the global FIRST community- the recognition it deserves.
Thank you for standing with us!
