Hello! My team is seeking some CAD practice to bolster our skills before season. I’ve looked into ChezyCAD, OnShape4FRC, and the CAD for Robotics Comps that OnShape provides.
I was wondering if anyone could point me toward some newer cadathons? We definitely aren’t in a position to host one ourselves this year, so ones run by other teams are preferred. Or is it a bit too early in the year? Anyway, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Many schools are just getting through their first full month. I would expect more CAD competitions in the middle of the fall semester. Stay tuned and keep an eye out and I’m sure you’ll find things popping up soon.

I appreciate the ChezyCAD callout but at this time we will not be hosting another ChezyCAD. It was really a one-off something to do while Chezy Champs was canceled in Fall 2020 and I had a bunch of stuck-at-home fellow engineers willing to review others’ CAD.
Our students have enjoyed the F4 CADathons and the extra excitement and pressure of their design competing against and being presented on the stream.

There’s probably going to be a Christmas cadathon, but the frcdesign.org team has been busy with the learning course so we haven’t been able to plan out one for the summer.
Regardless, check out frcdesign.org’s learning course for exercises and the design challenges.
Good luck!

Bummer, but thank you for the recommendation!
