Regional Giveaways?

What are some cool things that regionals have done for teams when they arrive?

We are hosting the Central Missouri Regional this weekend and our sponsor, Stanley Black and Decker gives a brand new toolbox to each team.

I usually end up with a cold after regionals. Does that count?

My regionals give me a 10x10 area and a folding table that I have to give back

I remember Nvidia handing out GPUs at the Seattle regional back in the day. Can’t say that I see them ever doing that again…

At San Diego, they’ve done giveaways in celebration of International Women’s Day since the regional dates usually line up around then. Otherwise, something nifty we got as volunteers during Deep Space was Phone stands, kind of like a picture frame or easel but shaped like a rocket with the regional name and year etched in.

Otherwise, I know Beach Blitz usually runs some pretty nifty giveaways during the offseason

Can confirm

I also have a solid state relay that has been dutifully serving in place of my headlight relay for a while, and some really neat pneumatic solenoids that ended up on a robot somewhere.

They gave you Kraft Mac N Cheese?

(Kraft dinner for our Canadian friends who needed a translation)

Bayou regional has some pretty cool game-themed items each year for the robot parade! Usually has game logo and regional name on it. Don’t know how that stands up to a whole tool chest though…
P.s. tune in tomorrow morning to watch said parade

I was privy to this awesome giveaway from the news article in the Sedalia Democrat. Thanks to you and Stanley Black and Decker in advance. I remember the Kobalt ones.

I do remember years ago KC regional had visa cards one year when it was at Hale Arena, and we had our borrowed trailer stolen and many teams donated those to help us that year.

Look forward to a fun competition :+1:

It’s part of the aesthetic smh

Cooler Master had some really dope giveways though, one of our CAD machines was effectively donated by them (all the parts won by a parent in a raffle) and there are a number of mech keyboards floating around. Iirc they no longer sponsor the event.

One year we got a free parking ticket, everyone thought parking was free cause the event was free. Needless to say when the pit admin was notified about this they made an announcement that impark was issuing tickets by that time a handful of us already got the free “gift”.

Cooler Master’s support of FRC in general dropped off at some point after they were big into it for a few years. I think the guy who was pushing for it left CM, though they may have also not been seeing the return they wanted or something.

Still use the RGB mechanical keyboard I won on here though
