Footballs…I love a challenge, besides I found last year, that driving tread systems over floppies doesn’t work well…;-)…need something rounder! I say around 405 teams. Should be interesting! See you there!

I must say, 372 is EXACTLY the number I would have been suggesting, except that you and me both forgot to take into account one factor: the new team from Berkeley High School & UC Berkeley will be showing up at nationals! =)

I’d make that 373 if I were you…

I know that our team number would suggest that there are many more than the 378. Are there teams that did not register for the smaller numbers? IF they didn’t how come FIRST didn’t assign us the lower numbers?

First has never given out the numbers that were taken by some team at some time. I saw your team number as 469 which is the highest I have seen, maybe they are doing this to see how many total teams they have had and not how many teams are in the competition. Happy Hollidays

Raul,

I admit that it ain’t looking good, but the fat lady hasn’t sung yet.

Speaking from experience (The CDI), teams that are ‘100% IN’ are not always ‘100% IN’.

We will see how the numbers shake out in the end.

It may not be looking good for my 372 number, but their is still hope. (though in reality I hope that it is a hope unfulfilled)

There have been many cases in the past where we had X teams prior to kick off but in the end had only X-Y teams because for one reason or another, Y teams couldn’t pull it off after all.

So…

While I admit that it is unlikely (and in some sense even undesireable) that I will win the pool, it is still theoretically possilble.

There will be plenty of time to conceed defeat, if I must, after the official count at the kick off.

Gee, Joe, we’re already past 372, and unless you think some teams will not make it, then my guess (some months ago) of 410 is now looming.
