Relay (Spike)

Can somebody tell me how to properly wire it?
M- and M+ are for the motor.
Then the GSD and 12V is for the power distribution.

Then there is an ouput for a PWM cable but it’s not wired where the jaguars and other stuff are. It’s wired to the other side where the Digital I/O is right?

When I did this the motor started moving and then the breaker of the Relay got burned :frowning:
What was wrong here?

M+ and M- should be wired to the motor.

12V should connect to a red Wago terminal on the Power Distribution Board with a 20A breaker installed.

GND should connect to an adjacent black terminal on the Power Distribution Board.

The PWM wire should be connected to a Relay header on the Digital Sidecar. These are near, but not the same as the Digital I/O ports. The black wire of the PWM should be on the outside of the Digital Sidecar and towards the fuse on the Spike.

The final thing to check is that you have an appropriate load connected to the Spike. CIMs and Fisher Price motors should not be connected to a Spike and although it is legal I would not recommend running the Banebots motors off of a Spike either. If you re running the compressor off of a Spike then you need to replace the fuse with a 20A breaker.

OOOO!!!
I connected the PWM in the wrong place! :frowning:
Holy…I was testing with Fisher Price but the purpose was for a globe. I have done a code for the Jaguars since I got scared but thanks for the help man
