I just got a placement at a robotic research laboratory at a University, and it got me wondering if other members of the FIRST community have similar placements. Do any of you have placements of internships? If so where, and what is the situation?
I’ve been interning at our sponsor, Collins & Aikman, working on the instrument panel on the Dodge Viper and a little on the Chrysler Pacifica.
This spring, my senior internship / research will be doing robotics (mainly for FIRST). I’ve been debating whether to declare it as internship and research at the local university that is assisting us, or at our high school with one of our teachers as my mentor, working in our own machine shop (we should have a working machine shop by then :-P). As of yet though, nothing is technically definate.
