At the Suffield Shakedown, I noticed that when logged onto the Driver account of our Driver’s computer (Lenovo Thinkpad), the DS and Dashboard auto-resized themselves to fit the Classmate screen.
Are we allowed to compile a version of the Dashboard to fit a larger screen, and if so, how? I’ve tried compiling a version, however it resizes and appears terribly askew. Is there a way, at least, to stop them from snapping to the side of our screen?
Look at the bottom of Dashboard Main.vi and you’ll see where it gets sized and positioned on the screen if the user account= Driver (you can change that, too).
Before you save the Dashboard and create the executable, size it and position the front panel to make it look like you want.
At the very, very bottom flags are set to make it NOT closable, minimizable, and to remove the window title bar.
The DS can’t be reworked, like the Dashboard can.
It can be moved around to reposition it on the screen if the user account isn’t Driver. The Driver account is optional during competition this year, not like last year. The Driver Station application does give you the option to fix it in it’s standard position in other user accounts, too.
The only way to make it larger is by changing screen resolution.
I assumed the field had no feelings because it failed to bite back at our bot after I cursed the scrimmage field in CT for getting balls lodged under the bridges…:yikes:
