Resources for the 2018 Season

With the 2018 season closing fast on teams, I figured I would post a few resources I know of for all teams have for this next season.

Similarly to this post, this past fall I presented a topic at the Purdue FIRST Forums on Robot Troubleshooting from the perspective of a field staff volunteer. Here is a link to my presentation on the IndianaFIRST website. Also on this website are many of the otherpresentations by some of my fellow IndianaFIRST people and teams. Hopefully, these might become handy to teams.

Also, in preparation for this upcoming season, I have decided I would like to try something different. In Indiana, I volunteer as a Control System Advisor and as an FTAA. This being said (along with my aforementioned presentation), I have a pretty good skill in troubleshooting robots that weren’t built by me.

I’m hoping to try and be a resource myself for teams who might be having a difficult issue that is hard to troubleshoot and might want a new perspective, or for a team that might not have as much access to a mentor who would normally be able to provide help.

I can be reached via email at [email protected].

While I make no promises on being able to fix every issue a team might have, I will certainly try my best to help and respond quickly (your six weeks go by fast!), or find you a better resource who might be able to help you.

Good luck, and have an amazing kickoff!

Nice offer, you should troubleshoot your PDF its only 926KB and mostly blank.

Interesting, on both devices I have tried it has been fine. Did you try any other presentations on the website in the link I gave?

The pdf you gave (and your pdf on the website) both lead to an 11 page file with no text. The other links to other presentations on the website do work.

Edit: Used a different browser, and the file loaded

Works fine for me-928KB, all pages populated.

Invisible fonts - have to squirt lemon juice on your screen to read them.
