On behalf of team 365, I would like to thank and once again congratulate our allies. The Miracle Workerz Alliance, which consisted of us, the Miracle Workerz, (365), Cybersonics (103), Robbe-Extreme (56), Das Goat (165) and Third Derivative (316) finished first in the finals at Drexel. Coming in a close second, was Space Coast (233), Diablo (87), 304, 484, and 104.

The winning score was 600 points. Our top score, which was in the finals, was 610. This was accomplished by an amazing run with 2 large balls on top of two balanced goals with three robots in the endzone with 1:01 on the clock. If it had been a non-finals, it would have been 671 points. I thought we were special, but I saw the post on the 710 points =(. Oh well, thanks to all everyone, hope you all had as much fun as I did. See you all in Nationals!

Darn, that 710 score is pretty impressive, and I have no doubt that even it will be topped at Florida. However, to put things in perspective, some of my teamates and I were talking to a FIRST official in the competition area, and she said that when they designed the game, they figured a score of 400 would be an incredibly high score. When both the finalist and the winning alliance get above that, you know there are some really talented and creative people competing.

Thanks teams 165, 316, 56, and 103, we certainly couldn’t have done so well without you! I hope some of these awesome teams will be able to play with us at disney. See you there!
