Rev robotics linear bearings...any others?

Anyone have another source for the rev robotics 1” linear motion kit? It has the plates, 2 bearings and the eccentric. I need 4 kits to finish our lift and they are out of stock.

Competition Robot Partshas some that worked well in 2015…

They are rather expensive, but what isn’t when you are purchasing COTS?

AndyMark sells most of the parts of the kit - only the bearings are currently in stock.

Goodness I’d rather cut copies of those parts with a hacksaw than pay 70 bucks for that.

We will have more of these available in the next couple days. Now that we are all caught up on the lift kits we will be starting to turn back on ordering for the individual pieces.

As a general rule we are a bit conservative on stock and don’t accept back orders as we feel it is better for teams to seek other alternatives than depend on us for items that are beyond our control. If it is available to purchase from us it is literally in our warehouse.

I strongly recommend signing up for email notifications for any specific item you are waiting on as you will get an email the minute things go in stock. FRC stock is very fluid and we are doing the best we can to keep up with demand.

Thanks for the update. I am signed up for the email notification.

I was seeking other alternatives without much luck so hopefully in a couple days I can have rev parts coming.

Any updates on this? I am dead in the water until I get these.

Check our site this afternoon.

Last night, we spec’d some bearings and if we would have gotten them from McMaster CARR, they would have cost $6.90 EACH. One of the other mentors recommended www.thebigbearingstore.com

The same bearing was: $1.71 each

I ordered these from Amazon. There weren’t any published load ratings but I think they’ll be fine. This particular item isn’t in stock until 1/29, but there are other Prime offerings.

Instead of buying the kits for the ridiculous price we just buy the bearings:

We bought the brackets separately (I believe they were $6.50 from AndyMark) http://www.andymark.com/REVRobotics-s/534.htm

We 3D printed the spacers and all other parts needed.

Got them ordered today, thanks!
