Rev vortex shaft wabble

we just got our brand new neo vortexs with falcon shafts for our mk4i swerve after building the swerve we noticed a sagnificant wabble in one of the motors/shafts has anyone seen anything like this?

we also tried the motor with an old shaft we had and also tried the new shaft in the an old motor and got the same wabble and non concentric behivor in both cases.

after that when using the old shaft with the old motor we got the same wabble when we are almost sure it wasnt there before like the bad motor had ruind the good shaft or the bad shaft had ruind the good motor.

motor wabble - Trim
it looks even worse in real life

we have a few motors and shafts we want to test in our next meeting but in the meanwhile has it happend to anyone else?

Yes, this was a major issue we found when ordering Vortexes this time last year. If you’re getting brand new motors and shafts and they have the wobble, I would contact REV support.

For what it’s worth, the wobble depends on how the shaft is oriented in the hex bore, since there’s 6 possible ways it can sit.

Has it happened to others: yes, last year. There is a fix. @Greg_Needel is probably going to correct me on this, but as I recall it’s an issue with seating the hex all the way down, and could be fixable with a file to one side of the shaft.
