Wow 2 robots, Congrats !!!

How high off the ground was the robot when climbing?

I like this design ! Will you share the CAD you use for the gripper wheel on the intake ? We will probably do something like this

@Aaron_Li The robot doesn’t completely lift off the ground. Our center of gravity is too much in the front of the robot so it tilt and almost lift up. We will talk about this in our robot overview video that is coming soon (only in french).

The main takeaways that we want to share about this climber are those:

  • COG position is important
  • Really simple mechanisms can work (this is only a winch and a basic hook)
  • Contrary to other years you don’t need to extend the climber and retract it after because the chain is lower than the max height of the robot.
