River Rage 7 .....

The teams had a great time at River Rage 7 on Saturday. The event was won by the number one seed Team 716 WHO-C-Teks and their alliance partner 157 The Aztechs.

The day went smoothly due to great direction by head ref JVN (who had no chance of changing the orientation of stacks in the finals) and matches that began with hardly a hitch thanks to Rick Petty and his crew. The voice of River Rage, Andy Grady, did his usual great job.

Thanks to all the teams that participated and all of the volunteers that helped out, including the refs from KANA and BAE.

Thanks Dave.
It was a great event, and we’ll certainly be back again next year.

Thanks a lot Dave,

I had an excellent experience in my first time refereeing, and thought the event went very smoothly. It was very interesting to see a FIRST competition from the other perspective. I enjoyed it immensely

Team 237 Sie-H2o-Bots had an awesome time at Riverrage 7! We did fairly well placing 9 out of 17 and then gettting bumped in the first round of finals. Overall, an AWESOME competition and I expect that we will definitly be back next year.

Although I wasn’t there i can only imagine how well TacOps v1.1 is working. Go Rick and Piotr.

Thanks to Ed, Dave and everyone else that made Riverrage 7 happen!

The shortened play time made this game more interesting and intense. The ref’s were fantastic and the software worked very well.

Thanks also to Team 157 The Aztechs. They are our mentor school from our rookie year (2001) and this was the first time we were able to be allied with them!

I just wanted to thank everyone who attended River Rage for making it one of the most enjoyable events I have been to this year. Great job to the members of the River Rage Commitee who did an excelent job of organizing this event, the referees who kept everything fair and balanced all day long, the scoring crew who worked nearly a flawless competition, and to everyone else who put in the effort to make this competition what it was. River Rage has always been, and will continue to be one of the premiere offseason events each year, and I hope it will continue to be for a long time! To all the teams who attended, thank you for bringing your spirit and good hearted competitiveness. You are the reason why I love FIRST so much.

Cya next year!

Like my teammate Scott said, Awesome competition overall!!

Oh, by the way; Chicken Dance anyone? LOL

I’m glad that someone actually started clapping to that as it led to pure hysterics.

If anyone has pictures of the Chicken Dancing crew on the field, please PM me. lol
