Hey all. Our team has been having some issues with our two roboRIO 2.0s. When we start the roboRIO with an SD card inserted, there will be a solid red power LED, indicating an overcurrent or short-circuit. When the RIO is booted without an SD card, the status light will continuously blink, indicating an unrecoverable error. This happened with both of our RIO 2.0s.
At one point, I was able to reimage one of them when I noticed that it had somehow booted
into safe mode after coming back from the bathroom (with no human input), but this doesn’t appear to happen on our second unit, and attempting to boot it into safe mode by holding the reset button simply results in the same unrecoverable error. I can’t ping or get any serial output out of the RIO when it is in the unrecoverable error state, so I don’t have any error info to work on sadly.
I didn’t do anything with the SD card, there’s no documentation anywhere saying I need to do any imaging on the SD card itself, and there are no roboRIO image files available on the internet except through game tools AFAIK.
My team is having issues with imaging the SD card. We are following the steps but when I choose the file FRC_roboRIo2_2022_v4.0.zip to flash, it says there is an “Error Opening Source” and follows with “Can’t find a matching file in this zip archive” Any ideas?
