Roborio damage (too-long screws into PCBA...) should I still use it?

Looks like we had eager students that kept turning 4-40 mounting bolts until they wouldn’t go no more…

We blew 3x 10A fuses before figuring it out.

Seems to run fine now that the bolts are removed?

Our MechEs want to throw a little glue over the damaged potting and put it back on a robot, since we have 0 spare and replacements might be available by the end of November. I’m hesitating to use it without a more in depth evaluation and repair, but maybe that’s too cautious for FRC, especially if it’s on a satellite/non-comp chassis.

I’ve tried to use the NI support site but the RoboRIO isn’t coming up in the “repair” options and I don’t have a service contract to get direct support from their engineers. Not sure how I can pursue this further with NI… ideas?

Whoops, this might be able to merge here ROBORIO's in need of fixing NI says serial numbers is expired need help? - #5 by Peter_Johnson

I would do a RMA with NI, ask on the NI Forums about it. Support - NI Community
