Hi, today my team made a mistake, a big one.
They connect everything ok, the only thing we miss to check was the battery, incredibly it was reversed.
So they connect and turn on the main breaker, then they ask me, why isn’t booting up? I checked and instantly found the error.
The RoboRIO turn on and status light blink twice, no other light comes on, no RSL or comm.
Status code says firmware, so we use the imaging tool, it was recognized an full procedure finish ok. But the status light still blink twice.
We did the 5 seconds reset, then status light turns on 10-15 seconds and the blink comes up.
Any help?
Thanks
@Palacio2312 the STATUS light blinking twice means there is no software loaded to the roboRIO. I would expect it to turn off after reimaging the roboRIO with the Imaging Tool.
How is the POWER LED turned on?
Was only the firmware flashed and not the actual roboRIO image for 2019?

The RoboRIO was working ok with firmware 6 from 2019 FRC pack.
The electrical guys use it with a different battery (not tested by me) and the battery was connected wrong.
The power led green on
Status led orange (2 blinks)
@Palacio2312 The green POWER LED tells us that the power supply is working fine. I wouldn’t like to think there was electrical damage in the device.
What happens when you try formatting the roboRIO using the Imaging Tool?
Formatting the RoboRIO with imaging tool works ok
Do you still see the STATUS LED blinking twice after that?
Maybe tomorrow I could post a video
Sounds good @Palacio2312. You can also contact NI between 1 and 7 PM CST and speak with NI FIRST support.
It’s fixed now.
I use the safe mode and the imaging tool
Thanks
