We obtained a swerve setup for the 24-25 season (Rev Maxswerve). We cannot wait to get it fully operational. Our chassis is built and wired just a couple things left.
Last year we completely filled up the rios memory. I know there is a way to get it to upload the logs etc to a flashdrive I’m just not sure how.
Also is the 24-25 WCP radio configured the same way as the previous one?
logs are written to a USB stick if you put one in. our standard procedure is to swap sticks after every match, to look at the match performance before the next one.
Yes, if you have a USB flashdrive plugged in then data logs will automatically be written to the drive instead of the roborio’s internal storage. The flash drive will have to be formatted as FAT32 for the rio to recognize it
The new radio is configured differently. I recommend you read the docs. They are very helpful for understanding all of the differences between the old and the new radio. The new radio primarily operates in the 6Ghz band, and due to FCC regulations, cannot be used as an 6Ghz access point while powered by a battery. This makes it necessary to have a 2nd radio (or other 6Ghz Access Point) plugged into the wall.
I looked over the wiring diagrams for the new radio. Is my thinking correct in that for now we could just go straight from the PDP to the +12v on the panel and then fish the blue and white as well as the red and white wire out of an ethernet cable, splice and attach to the PDP to have redundant power supply to our radio? We do have the REV RPM on their way however this does look like a better what to go to be honest. As for practicing we are likely going to flip the switch and use 2.4 GHZ. Sorry if some of these questions seem like common sense but it takes 5 plus months to procure parts in our current situation giving us no room for error.
