Robot configuring out of competition mode

My team is trying to get our practice robot to run outside of competition mode. Is there a way to do that with the Radio Configuration Utility?

Yes, in fact that is the purpose of the Radio Config Utility. At events your team should be using the special booth for the competition’s radio configuration.

As far as I recall, there should be no special box or field to fill out to have it configure itself to be a visible wireless network. Just follow the instructions on the program and you’re fine.

Haven’t you been doing that when you practice/test your robot before competition? There are three ways to communicate with the robot:

  • tether with USB
  • tether with Ethernet
  • connect wirelessly via the radio which can be configured by the Radio Config util.
