We want to remind you all again that Robot Ship Deadline is: Tuesday, February 20th, 2007.
FIRST requires verification of the shipment of each team’s robot crate for the initial shipment only. Teams are required to adhere to the rules and the robot shipping deadline. All teams are responsible for tracking their robot crate(s) to ensure that it has arrived at its destination on time.
Please follow the instructions below for your chosen initial shipment method:
If You Use the Online FedEx Shipping Administration System (you are located within the 48 contiguous United States)

If you use the FedEx Shipping Administration System (formerly FedEx PassKey System) for your initial robot shipment, you do not
need to provide FIRST with your tracking number. FIRST will generate an internal report which will allow us to track all shipments completed though the FedEx Online Shipping Administration System. - Save a copy of your printed airbill for tracking purposes and your records. Once again – you DO NOT
need to notify FIRST of your shipment.If You Drive Your Robot to the Drayage Facility -
Refer above to the “Drayage Site Delivery Vehicle Stipulation” Section 4, “Robot Transportation”. **Your vehicle must have a 48” bed height, no exceptions. **
- Have the drayage warehouse personnel put the time and date of drop off on an official receipt.
- Write your team number on the receipt.
- Make a copy and retain for your records.
- Mail it to FIRST so it arrives in 4 days. Address the envelope per below, using all capital letters.

If you are an International Team who either drove their crate to the drayage site OR used the FedEx regional donation shipment

If you received a FedEx airbill from FIRST
(via mail), please email [email protected] within 24 hours of pickup. Prepare email as follows:1) Subject: “Team XXXX – Robot Shipment”2) Body: Write the tracking number and name of your initial regional event and its date
If You Use an Alternate Shipper

Obtain an official shipping receipt (bill of lading) from the shipping carrier.

Ensure that your receipt clearly shows the carrier’s name, tracking number of the shipment and the date and time of the pickup.
- Write your team number on the receipt (bill of lading).2. Make a copy and retain for your records.
- Mail a copy of your receipt to FIRST right away so it arrives within 4 days. Address the envelope per below, using all capital letters:

Special Note on Scheduling a FedEx Pickup (again, initial crate shipment):**
**For teams using the FedEx Online Administration System (teams located within the 48 contiguous United States:)
**Please call FedEx Express Freight the day before you are planning to ship at 800-332-0807 (yes, you may ship before the 20th - but not after!!)
**For teams mailed a FedEx airbill:
**Please contact your local FedEx facility. Pickup will depend on your location so call for full instructions.
