Wow, that’s a lot of stuff to get organized before Orlando, with all the teams you need and such. To help you out, why don’t you check out these sites:

www.FIRSTrobotics.net: This has pictures of a lot of the robots

www.soap108.com: This has some stats like what you asked for, just not for a lot of the teams. What it does have a lot of, though, is how each team performed at a regional

Hope that helps,
Stephen

P.S btw, here you go

>A. 122 NASA Knights Yorktown, VA weight: 129
>B. 4wd omni wheels in front very strong, reasonably fast (6 f/s)
>C 2 goal grabbers, idiot proof, can latch/unlatch (as long as the servo doesn’t break  sigh bad memories from finals

>D. ball spinner to shoot balls into our basket, not too effective as of now, hopefully it will be more reliable at nats
>E. no tether
>F. very powerful, great driver, always gets 10 balls from player station in basket

>G. Excaliber team leader: hmm … no official team leader, we have an unofficial haed menor, I guess. A head teacher, too. Well, my name is Stephen
>H. I don’t have too many pics, here’s a link to a decent pic of our first match:
http://robots.larc.nasa.gov/event_2002/photos/big_122_score.jpg
>I. This is us dropping down. We start off 5 feet tall, than fall to 5 feet wide.

but i would rather get it from the horse’s mouth

and thanks for your info, spread the word time is running out

and i mean SPREAD THE WORD, EVERYONE MAKE CALLS OR E-MAILS TO THE TEAM THAT ARE IN THE FLORIDA LIST

You guys can also post your info here if you want ill get
it

I think you might want to try out SOAP first, as a lot of the info you want is already being made available…

(I emailed this to you, but I’ll post it here too)

A. Team 007 - Firestorm 4 - Parkville High School (Baltimore, Maryland) - 130 lbs.

B. Drive - 4 wheel chain drive powered by two chiphua motors - easily removable - tires are rubber skyway variety - system uses steel shear pins as a failure point to protect motors. 12:1 gear ratio. Top speed is about 3.5 feet per second. Extremely high traction.

C. Goal Manipulation - 2 devices - one is a pneumatic T-Bar (with a 12" stroke 2" bore cylinder running it) - The other is a “one-way-door” mechanism. Both are extremely strong and both can let go.

D. No ball control

E. No tether device

F. Best aspect - ability to move goals even with fierce competition, gets two goals 95% of the time, almost always wins in a tug-of-war

G. Firestorm 4 - Team leader: Damien Bretall (senior)

Thanks for the plug and for submitting a similar profile of your team on our site. Now if only everyone did this… Also you can submit a profile on another team.

Don’t forget the power of video to actually see the performance of a team. Example: www.soap108.com/2002/fl/movies/ Replace “fl” with another event abbreviation (il, gl, ct) for a list of movies from those regionals. Maybe someday enough teams will help out so that 100% of the regionals get digitized. There were 6 teams this year covering 5 events, including team 108. (5 and 3 w/o 108). …

Hey, no one from 401 has submitted a profile yet…

hey 108. I noticed you didn’t have any video for the elimination matches in Philly. If you want I have some video clips that one of our mentor’s took. It’s not the complete elimination matches, but here’s what I’ve got: qf1,sf1,sf2,f1,f2. It might be a little biased, since it’s got us in all the matches, but it’s better than nothing I guess. If you want those matches, you can e-mail me at [email protected]
