Robotics Night with the NBA 76ers

This is an invitation to support FIRST, help a great cause and have a great time.

Team 341 will be holding a **Wissahickon Robotics Night **at an NBA 76ers game on March 31st, 7 PM at the Wachovia Center, in Philadelphia. (The Sixers will play the Atlanta Hawks see the attached flier/ticket ordering form)

The Purpose
$5 of each ticket we sell will go towards completing payments for an i-Bot for one of our team members, who will be graduating this year. The tickets ($30 value) will sell for only $20

Activities

  1. We will be setting up a FIRST Robotics display in the stadium lobby. Interested teams can PM me.
  2. We will drive our 2006 Ball Shooter Bot onto the court several times during the game to shoot souvenir 76ers Poof balls into the crowd.
  3. Kids from area teams can also have the chance to be on the court throwing balls into the crowd.

So if you are interested in supporting our i-bot effort, interested in supporting FIRST, or simply like a good basketball game, se the instructions on the attached flier.

Sorry for the late notice, but this one took a while to get approved.
Hope to see you there.

That sounds sooooo cool! I wish I was in the area! Best of luck with the event!

I wish I lived by you guys!

Great idea!!! Except, who needs an i-bot when you’ve graduated with years of experience with FIRST :yikes:  :stuck_out_tongue:

We just got back from testing the machine on the basketball court at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. We had concerns about our pop casters but everything is cool. We also tested the special 76ers Poofballs. They fire about 5 rows into the seats.
We will have kids on the floor throwing some deeper into the crowd.
Hopefully we will see some of you next Tuesday at the game.

Thanks to everyone that bought tickets for the game! We do appreciate the support.

Miss Daisy is all packed up and on her way to the 76ers game tonight.
In addition to shooting 76ers Poofballs into the crowd, we are going to try to make a basket before we leave the court.

We will be circling the court twice for 2 minutes each time on game breaks. (hmmm 2 minutes, that sounds familiar… )

I’ll try to post some pics on Wednesday.

Thanks again!
