RobotPy at CMP

I’ve never been to the FRC Championship, but I’m super excited that I’ll be able to attend this year! If you’re attending too, I’d love to meet some of you and say hi, chat about RobotPy, pynetworktables, robots, or whatever. I’ll be there supporting Team 1418, stop by their pits and ask for the RobotPy guy.

While we’re not using Python for our robot code we successfully used mjpg-streamer in all 15 of our matches at Oklahoma. Thank you for all that you do for the community, we wouldn’t have been able to use a USB camera for what we wanted to do without your work

Glad to hear it was useful!

Well 1684 will need to have an abysmal performance at MSC this weekend (from today alone I think we will have a good performance) to not qualify and we switched back over from Java to Python since the Python code had auto targeting already written.

Regardless, I’ll see you there as a CSA if we don’t qualify

Yep, 1684 will officially be competing at CMP using python (though after that MSC elimination performance i don’t really feel we deserve it :frowning: )

Congrats on 1418s efforts going into alliance selections. Newton Elims should be an absolute bloodbath. Glad I’m not there! We ended 35th, hopping to get picked up (though we are a shooter bot so the odds are slim)

If any of your team has an XL 1418 shirt and wants to trade for a L/2XL (I didn’t plan properly…) 1684 shirt let me know!

Also, isn’t 971 also a Python bot? they are absolutely shredding it…

Yep, it was a bloodbath, and as the 8th alliance captain, we were the first victim.

Didn’t see this in time. I was planning on visiting various teams on Friday, but we ran into unexpected issues and so I never got around to it. :frowning:

I’m not aware of them being a python bot, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t.

Hi!
I know it’s a little bit late, but 4613 uses NetworkTables on our Raspberry Pi for our Vision Tracking; on which we use Python with OpenCV!
NetworkTables have worked perfectly!
I’m pushing to code our robot in python, but I don’t think it’s going to happen…
