I’m so excited to see this great event is back! I’m hoping American teams can cross over the border to join in the fun! When will voluunteer registration be open?

We’re still coordinating some of the details for volunteer registration, it should be somewhat soon - but stay tuned!

Is there any rough information about the schedule for each day?

We’re working on getting that setup as we have to coordinate with the rest of the gaming garage.

Generally speaking it’ll be a similar format to previous years, where there’s blocks of matches and then time off where teams can go explore the grounds and have fun, but during that time the field is open for any teams to practice or test out while tethered.

For FRC, I just wanted to clarify how costs and scheduling work. Since there are three days, does that mean it is an initial fee of $54.24 = $18.08 * 3 for all three days?

Also, if we can only attend one or two of the three days, is there a way to indicate that (and which days we can attend) on the registration form?

The initial fee is just $18.08 for the one $16 ticket plus tax. We’ve registered, so I can confirm that.

My understanding is that you’ll then get a code to buy up to 29 more tickets at the same special price. Regular tickets seem to be $20 plus tax. Everyone who attends must have a ticket.

If you click through you can see the registration form without actually making the purchase. I don’t think there’s anything there about which days you can attend.

Correct.

Currently we don’t have a way to opt out of any specific day as we’re running this event as regional style - with practice and a few Qual matches on Friday, quals on Saturday, and quals and elims (and buffer time) on Sunday.

Not sure why it is phrased this way. Did you receive anything afterwards saying you are registered for all three days?

This is part of the Ticketing system, we unfortunately cannot change this. The one ticket is just to prevent someone from being required to buy 30 tickets all at once. Once you buy the ticket, the CNE will reach out to you and confirm details like your FRC/FTC Team number, and then send a code to let you purchase more for the discounted rate.

The reason it says 2/3/4, is because you can distribute your tickets in any count per day (eg, you have only 5 people on Friday, and Saturday but want to bring 20 on Sunday for finals, you can.

Are any tables or robot carts provided. Just wondering because it gives us options. Also how does load in and parking work whether or not we bring a trailer.

Two tables, and two chairs are provided. All load in questions can be asked to the CNE contact upon registration.

That makes sense. Thank you!

For those who have been paying attention to the CNE page - they’ll already know this - but!

Prize money is now allocated to both FRC and FTC!

FRC Alliances will have a chance to win part of a $6000 cash pool!

FTC Alliances will have a chance to win part of a $3000 cash pool!

Just curious is the tethering thing necessary or just because our radios are configured. I would think during this time off the radios wouldn’t interfere with anything right? The reason is we have another robot we may bring to do some testing on a field and it would make it a lot easier without tethers.

During the breaks we can do test matches where you can be wireless.
Though you’d have to configure two radios, or swap the radio between the two robots.

If you want to register a second robot and compete with it, you’re welcome to do that and not pay more since you’re just paying for the people to come. You’d just have to coordinate load in with the CNE.
