Robots in the real world

I enjoy seeing what robots are used for in the real world. Below is an example and a demo video. I was wondering what other examples the CD world could come up with.

My dad works for Viastore and these are the robots that they build

They are AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems)

These ststems are great for warehouses as they need few people (very expensive for a buisness) and are much more accurate.

Not exactly robots but here is an interesting program that FIRST alumni would fit into nicely. I just heard about it and it was held in my own back yard.

A bunch of FIRST students, mentors, and alumni (including two WFFAs) work for this company. As I understand it, the robots were inspired by work on a past DARPA project.

I work on robots that inspect nuclear reactor vessels and steam generators. Obviously robots are prefererred over humans in these positions because there can be very high radiation levels present. Unfortunately I don’t have any videos to share.
