Just a question I thought I would post. How many days before the ship date are people planning to have their robot built? We are aiming for a week. A week of drive time and to refine all of the minor problems that my occur (fingers crossed)! I would just like some feed back.

We have planned 2 weeks for drive time and refining. We all know that we say that, at the begining of the season, but we always manage to have less then a week. I will keep my fingers crossed too.

Is it 20 days or 21 days until shipping? My calendar (which is locked in the school, grrrr…why? See my post in the Rumor Mill) says 21, but the countdown says 20.

Yes the ship date is February 20. If you count that day as a work day (as I think most teams do) then there are 21 days to work on your robot left.

With the 19th being a holiday, I am pretty sure the shipping date is 20th… after all, it shouldn’t be later than that.
Woo Hoo!!! That means we will have the whole monday before shipping to finish our robot. Time for a all-nighter.

Hopefully I’ll get to spend my 26th b-day watching our robot function. I hope, I hope, I hope. Having a finished robot would be an awfully good present…
Jim
p.s. This reminds me of a statistics problem from college where we determined the chance of two people in the room having the same birthday in a group of 30 students. Turned out to be aroung 50%. What do you think the chances are out of over 1000 people?
