For our 25th season, the Robowranglers are proud to present our 2016 robot, Renegade. We will be competing at the Alamo, Dallas, and Waterloo regionals and the World Championship in St. Louis! Hope to see you there!
Thank you to our sponsors, Greenville ISD, Innovation First International Inc., and L-3 Mission Integration.
I’m always very excited to see your robots. The angle of your catapults claw looks very interesting. Is this the first robot to be under 15 inches and shoot from the batter while being pressed up to the side of the stronghold? Also, I cannot wait to see how this thing hangs. I see two pivoting arms and hooks inside but the specifics are a mystery, PTO? Does the three pronged shooter claw self center the boulder when firing? Finally, is it possible for your robot to spit out balls, or do you have to fire them out of the catapult?
Really cool looking bot as always Robowranglers! I like the name too, but you guys usually put up a good looking video showing your robot off why not decide to do that this year?
I’m not from Robowranglers but my team used HTV (heat transfer vinyl) to put our numbers on the slick material this year. In the past my team just used paint but I had access to a vinyl cutter. The only downside is we had to use an iron instead of a heat press so it was difficult finding the correct temperature and time needed to heat on without messing it up. I think all of ours turned out great except one of the twos on “52” (split number bumpers). It just kinda messed up the top of the 2 but everything else looks amazing.
Looks excellent! That makes 1 world-class powerhouse team a low-bar team…
I’m eager to see Renegade on video… The scaler and the boulder-cradle are both intriguing… and it’ll just be fun to see one of the perennially top teams moving fast around this field!
Always a fan of the Robowrangler build style. Impressive packaging job, and I’m a huge fan of the scaler. Sad we dont play together this regular season, but look forward to practicing with you.
