Rocket can get you RP. That makes the answer easy for me.

Well, in qualifying then yes rocket, but in playoffs when all of the game piece sets count the same, it would be much more efficient to do the cargo ship first then the rockets from the bottom up.

I 100% agree here. But you have to make it to eliminations first.

The strategy is different between qualifications and eliminations.

In quals it’s rocket all day. There really is no realistic argument against it. In playoffs … doesn’t matter at all.

I’m going to be honest I don’t see the cargo ship on its own being viable. Rocket maybe but if you are doing cargo only consider maybe throwing in some basic climbing?

This is essentially the same question as switch or scale/vault from last year. Teams who are willing and able to go tall will work the rockets and those who aren’t will focus on the cargo ship and possibly the lowest two spots of each rocket. The difference is that last year, low goals were about 75% of the game piece scoring opportunity; this year they are only 60% of the game piece scoring opportunity,

It will be interesting to see the strategy change come playoffs. Rocket gets the valuable RP for quals but in the playoffs you can score quicker with the cargo ship during the sandstorm. Will need to consider some different sandstorm routines.
