ROMI + Driver Station + FMS?

Hi Everyone,

DevilBotz Team 2876 is experimenting with an off-season ROMI “mini-challenge” that will be a 2v2 mini version of the previous year’s (ChargedUp) challenge.

We hope to run a match as similar to the real deal as possible, which includes using the official DriverStation, Shuffleboard, and an FMS (Team 254’s Cheesy Arena Lite).

This image depicts what I am hoping to achieve:

I can get the following combinations working:

  • FRC Driver Station + ROMI simulation
  • FRC Driver Station + FMS

However, when I try all 3, The FRC driver station disconnects from the ROMI simulation when it sees the FMS, so can no longer see the ROMI robot.

Any clever thoughts on getting this to work?

Random thought. MANY laptops (HP and Lenovo specifically) disconnect the wireless connection when an ethernet port is connected. You have to switch this off in the BIOS.

Otherwise I’d suggest that it’s an IP conflict.
