I’m new to the Romi world, and I’m having trouble getting the camera connected to the rPi via a ribbon cable to show up on the Dashboard. I can view the camera stream from the rPi dashboard itself so I know it is physically connected correctly. However the only camera that shows up on the Dashboard is the built-in camera for my laptop. Despite having read the WPI docs numerous times and looking here, I can’t find the problem. Any suggestions? I’m sure it is something simple that I am overlooking.
Do you have your firewalls off? For the camera to appear as an option in the dashboard, the camera server on the Pi needs to be able to connect to the NT server running in the Romi code that is running on your desktop computer. It’s not going to be able to do that if it’s blocked by a firewall.
