RSL Brownout

Our RSL suddenly stopped working today and now we have an solid amber light on our RoboRio 2.0. We have tried disconnecting everything. unplugging each circuit breaker to see if we could get it to turn back on, changed the light, checked the wiring to make sure it is wired correctly, made sure it is plugged in correctly, changed our battery and we still have an amber light on the RoboRio and the RSL will not turn on. When we enable the robot from the drivers station the amber light blinks, but the RSL still does not turn on. Iā€™m not sure what to else to trouble shoot. Why would it be browning out when no motors are running?

From your description it sounds like the big RSL or its connection to the roboRIO.
The big RSL is just a repeater of the small RSL light built into the RIO.
No circuit breakers affect it.

You can test the RSL connection on the RIO with a multi-meter while the robot is disabled (solid small RSL).
That will isolate the problem to the roboRIO connection or the big RSL & wiring to it.
