In an attempt to make our robot look like a pirate ship, we  accidentally painted over  ALL of our wires running to the arm. We removed the paint from the ends of the wires. Will this be alright at the competition, or should we waste our last hours before the bot ships, stripping the paint?
Not positive how it works with the paint vs wrong color of the actual wire… But at Atlanta for us they made us take apart everything when we used (I can’t remember for sure, but I think it was brown) wire instead of yellow for some stuff, took a few hours to fix. Your safest bet is probably to do it now.
At Championships a couple years ago, we used copper wiring with translucent insulation that looked more red-orange than red for the +12V wires. It was the same gauge as required, but more flexible than the KOP red wire (which is why we used it). The inspector did yell at us for that, but we weren’t required to fix it.
Regardless, you probably should get the paint off your wiring so you have a better chance to pass inspection.
