Hi everyone. Nationals are over and it might be too early to be thinking about this, but is there going to be a Rumble at the Rock? Please respond to this message. TJ² really wants to go rumble again this year, we just don’t know when or where.

I have heard through the grapevine that Nutrons Team 125, wants to have rumble at there place, only problem is that they need to go through alot of people in order to get it set up. I think not only would these be great to keep the rumble going but maybe if everything goes well and everyone likes it they could have a regional in good ol Boston Mass. I’ll keep everyone posted as I hear.

note that if rumble becomes a problem to host, we’ll gladly host it. we need time though. a lot of it.

i think NU was pretty set on getting it going- they have Plymouth alum on their team (Marc, where are ya to calm the fears!) and have been talking about it for a while know. I also know other teams that were set to host (and likely still are) if NU couldn’t get it going- toughest thing is the site, which I’m almost positive NU has…

I can’t speak for them, but I know they already enlisted the help of myself and our team- we’re just waiting for details…

meanwhile- don’t forget about the other comps. There’s Mayhem, River Rage, and (so I hear) ones going down in Merrimack (july 4th)and WPI (june-ish?)… who’s got details on those?? and who is going??

Gompei certainly wants to Rumble at the Rock… but will rumble at NU if that’s where it is…
We’ll certainly be at Mayhem, RR4, maybe Merrimack and of course WPI…

The details as i know them for ours is a locked June 17th, maybe indoors in our spacious Harrington gym or Live on the Quad, not sure on that… it’ll be sweet though. i’ll tell you that…
i’ll post when i have more info…

As for the other comps like Rumble, River Rage and Mayhem…I know we have committed to Mayhem, Rumble no one knows about, and River Rage is one I’d love to do…please post info!! Invites only? if so, please don’t forget us!! Looking forward to these comps and seeing you all again soon…(there is truly no ‘off’ season in FIRST…)

There certainly is no off season for FIRST! The X-Cats are currently looking for things to do over the summer so please don’t leave us out. Rumble was great last year, and we are ready to go this year! Please if at all possible could someone keep us informed by emailing me at [email protected] Our robot is looking for some fun this summer and would love to get in there and do it one more time.
Thanks,

Hmm a FIRST comp @ WPI that could be quite cool. My sense is that I’ll be there with or without a machine to compete with. Hopefully RR4 Will materialize again this year.

I know that the LRT is really looking forward to the rumble, you will all see us there. We also are looking forward to River Rage, so you will probably see us there to. I hope to see you all at the comps, good luck!

Let us (the X-Cats) know if we can do anything to help make Rumble happen. It’s a time-honored tradition we can’t let go (especially the ‘death-matches’ between rival teams). We look forward to attending again this year, and are willing to do what we can to make it easier.
