Okay, I might as well call my self retarted but how come i cant right click on a picture from the internet and save it? It doesnt do any thing. it just shows the hand thingy. Ive tried highlighting it and hitting CTRL+s but that doesnt work either…plz help
What browser are you using? Is this a common problem on all pages (or just from a certain website)? Is there a right-click menu for the rest of the page if you right-click somewhere other than on a picture on the page?
Maybe the picture has a right click control on it. Sometimes people use a code that blocks right clicking.
If you’re having trouble with other right click functions as well then you might want to try deleting your temporary internet files. i was previously unable to view the source code on websites with right clicking and it was because of this.
May be a security setting. I know that when I have Content Advisor enabled on IE, I can’t “Save Target As”. Or more likely (unless it happens on all web sites) the web site has code that prevents it.
well this problem occurs at school so i am assuming this year they blocked right clicking but i cant imagine why? well our system administrator is an idiot and she doesnt now what shes doing… maybe thats y. last week she said we used novell as a server because of its security and the next day two kids got arrested for hacking ther server and are charged with felonies now :))
what if you did a screen shot and then pasted that shot into paint, and then cut the bit you want out of the shot you took ??
Our district uses Novell also. Novell has user profiles with certain “rights” Most likely, the login/profile you are using does not have the right to right click. Try having a teacher log in and see if it is will allow right clicking.
oh, yeah…my school uses novell. and right clicking is blocked for us as well. its such a pain.
Thanks for all the input, it really helped out. And thank you for the idea shyra. I will youse that for photoshop.
