as part of the educational process leading to building the final robot, we want to control a robotic arm called “Scorbot ER 3”, but we are lacking the software.
do i need to have the control box?
is the software to control this arm disributed freely?
is there a replacement free software?
first we want to control it through the software provided than try to make our own…
The first step you must do to initiate the educational process is to read the documentation provided by Innovation FIRST. Specifically, the sections marked “Control System” and “C Code.”
The second thing you should do is take a look at some of the excellent white papers community members have created.
The third thing you should do is search to see if someone has already asked this type of question. This thread might be of interest to you.
And the fourth thing you do is to ask questions here on the forum
The Scorbot ER 3 is a complete stand-alone system unrelated to the FIRST system and comes with it’s own controller and software.
The 3 version is out-of-date and I don’t know where to obtain the software from, unless you can locate other users.
You also can try contacting Intelitek directly (the current company name).
