Wow - you guys are awesome - scoring in practice - pay attention out there these guys are scoring all over the place! Congrats, sounds like your team is ready to roll -
Now, Scoring as per your questions (from the rule book)
In order to be a score, at the end of the match - a bottle must:
Be on one of the lower scoring zones, while not in contact with a robot. The bottle must be resting on the shelf or on another bottle on the shelf. It cannot be elevated or suspended over the shelf and it cannot be touching a robot.
Interpretation applied to the scenarios listed -
From this I’d say all scenarios that include touching the shelf or resting on a bottle touching the shelf are scores including those that are combined with touching the framework, so the key here is touching the shelf directly or touching another bottle that is touching the shelf. Since we didn’t distinguish where the bottle were relative to scoring zones, one bottle bridging 2 scoring zones (in other words resting on a bottle in 2 neighboring zones)will be impossible to designate as to who gets the points so in that case the bottle WILL NOT be a score.
Those scenarios where the bottle is not touching the shelf and are suspended by touching or resting on the divider or backboard or any combination of - are NOT scores.
