At the Bayou Regional, the scoring screens displayed matches on one side, and teams ranked in order on the other side. I am wondering if any of the other regionals had scoring displays that included qualifying and ranking points, as that was a very helpful feature last year.
No it’s the same at SVR. I find it pointless and annoying because there is no way of telling who is still undefeated and who needs to lose for us to move up in ranking…
Another thing that annoys me about the rankings display is that after the list rolls over, the top few teams are only displayed for a brief instant as they appear at the top of the screen instead of immediately following the lowest-ranked teams.
it was the same thing at FLR.
I too found it very annoying. it took me like 5 circuits of the display to find out rankings because the last couple of teams appeared for only a few seconds and then disappeared.
If you’re lucky - many stats pages for the regionals were down during the events yesterday.
They typically catch up in time for evening scouting meetings though.
Does anyone think the scrolling ESPN-style match scoreboard at the bottom of the screen has any value? I’d prefer if that real estate would be used to, oh, say, scroll W-L-T records and RP’s - much more valuable information.
