Does anyone know how the ranking points were adjusted for events that only ran 11 matches? It looks as though extra points have been added to teams but I can’t work out the criteria/formula. I thought it might be based on the total ranking points but it looks as though a group of teams with 10 points ended up with either 11, 12 or 13. I am sure I am missing something and would appreciate any insight.
Thanks
For districts, the district points aren’t given out by W-L-T anymore. They’re done through the function you can find in Section 10 of the manual which basically distributes the teams based on how many ranking points they earn and gives points based off the distribution.
Thanks - I forgot about the formula.
I personally keep the equations in my phone on a free graphing calculator app. I attached a screenshot of what they look like in the app. It works well since the app also has a table function.
37 in Y1 and 32 in Y2 represents the n (number of teams) in the equation.
Y1 is setup for a regular district. Y2 is set up for a DCMP (only difference is the *3 part)
