Some extra background info:

  • This past year we sprung for some 3g capable kindles fires and I think it was a 3 month data plan or something?
  • Some neat things to dig into - I dont know the technical details but we can take the data to plug into formulas and auto-create a list based on what we like. There’s a lot more work for us to do on this, but each year I think we get a little bit closer
  • As the drive team coach, I would be able to pull it up on a kindle and see all the scouting data we had for the 6 robots in our match. Definitely helpful in talking pre-match strategy
  • We probably collected too much data this year…(see what Katie and Brian posted about: Your scouts hate scouting and your data is bad: Here's why) but we’re trying to figure out how to improve on what we collect and how we use it.
