We are very excited to announce that as of today there are 32 teams competing from the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico!
We want to thank team 2451 for creating this initiative and we want to wish everyone competing a very happy scouting
Thanks @J_Beta and STEAMex for helping make RLD a part of Scouting Palooza this year! We are so happy to be able to help keep Scouting Palooza alive and we look forward to all the awesome scouting the competing teams will get done.
question about the Pick List Generation Challenge
we are given this data and it is said we are supposed to make a pick list using the data from matches 1 through 65 from Hopper Division. The manual says
You can either collect data using the same
format as given to you or transform it and collect the data using your own system. Your data and data dictionary must be submitted as well.
does this mean I can use my own scouting system, scout the recordings of matches 1-65 in the Hopper division of this year’s game, and use that data for my picklist creation or do I have to “transform” the data I was given into my own data system and amAndyMark not allowed to collect my own data. Or is the point of the challenge to collect data to complete the data and therefore you would be allowed to collect all the data ourselves if we wanted.
The point of the challenge is for you to create the picklist, we give you a partial data set that might help you out but we know that it might not be compatible with the way your team may analyze data. You are allowed to use your own scouting system to collect all the data that you need.
To be clear about what we mean with the transformation bit, we know that the data set given will most likely not be compatible with the way other teams collect data, you can either collect all that data again with your own scouting system or transform so it is compatible with your own system or just continue collecting data with the same given format from the partial data set
