Robotics Summer Camp Offered – Scholarships Available

National Award Winners Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 presents the second annual Robotics Summer Camp Monday through Friday 1 p.m. to 5 p. m. July 5-30. Camp is $300 for two weeks and is a tax deductible donation. Beginning camp is the first two weeks of July. Advanced camp is the second two weeks of July. Northrop Grumman Space Technology has agreed to fund four scholarships for qualifying students. Contact Cheryl at 310-318-7901 or [email protected] .
The camp is at Redondo Union High School, 620 Diamond St., Redondo Beach. Three team 294 mentors will be teaching; LeRoy Nelson is joined by retired Raytheon engineer Bill Kunz and an hour presentation by Dr. Rick Wagner, Northrop Grumman Engineer. High school team members took Lego Mindstorms teacher training at LegoLand and will be supporting their mentors during the camp. Enrollment is limited to 40 students per session.
