Scrrf

The SCRRF event today at Chatsworth high school was a blast. 40 teams came! There are many think you and congrats to go around.

  1. Teams 399 and 1197: COngrats on your dramatic victory! It kept things exciting to the end. Also teams 974 and 207, you put up a heck of a fight. It’s too bad there could not be two winning alliances.

  2. Team 22: Awesome job hosting the comp. as usual. You guys do so much for FIRST in LA so thank you.

  3. All the awesome field reset crew: Great job guys with keeping things running smoothly and efficiently.

  4. Kristina from 691 (Doanie8) and Angela from 294: Thanks so much for helping me referee the event. It went great, and good job on making the tough calls.

  5. Wendy Wooten: Awesome job as usual with putting the event on this year. Without you, we would be lost.

  6. The teams attending: Good job on your graciousll professional conduct.

  7. Teams 599, 330, 294, 974, 22, and the former head of team 524 for providing crew members.

Sean Roberts
Head Referee, SCRRF

Just wanted to send out a general thank you to Chatsworth High School for once again being a role model team, and certainly one that any rookie could look up to and any veteran could learn from in hosting a successful practice competition today. Your continually dedicated accommodation is always highly valued by Team 691 as well as all participating teams. Special thanks go out to Wendy Wooten and all other individuals that made the competition today possible. Your time and effort is always appreciated

*Great job all teams, not only did you all have amazing robots, you also showed a great deal of respect and cooperation to everyone. Good luck competing and show the rest of the nation what So. Californians are all about!
*I would also like to thank Chatsworth for hosting this great oppurtunity for teams to convene and learn a great deal from each other.
*Kudos also go out to all the volunteers, especially my fellow refs Sean and Angela who it was a pleasure to work with all day. (PS: Sean, what happened to thanking the music people for playing hella good just for me?)

I want to personally thank the DJ for playing the “Hella Good” song by No Doubt for Kristina!!! I am sure she loved it!

Yes, the music was all very good.

What I found interesting about the scrimmage is that there were a lot of stackers but no one made a stack of even two. (but I did not stay for the finals) Also, no one went in the alley under the bar even if their robot could.

Our stacker wasn’t ready, and our motors were slipping, but we did go under the bar.

Thanx to the awesome refs, Sean, Christina and Angela!!! You guys were great! Also thanx to Chatsworth for letting us use your facilities.

Does anyone have any pictures of the scrimmage they are willing to share?
