Normally I don’t post in this forum (once in a great while), but I felt that this warranted a thread.
Walking through campus today, I saw a ton of people walking around with software handouts. Curious, I looked around the quad… to find a Microsoft van (they have vans?) and a booth, passing out OneNote software to students. They were advertising BSU’s Technology Education.
The best part? They had a Segway on either side of the booth, decked out in Microsoft gear. I had never seen a Segway with covers for the wheels, or with advertisements all over it (small billboards off the handlebars, etc.), save for Stu’s Segway. I was curious… is this the new thing now? Have you seen any other rolling advertisements?
At the state fair they have a Segwa tour company and they have some of those advertisements. I know of a company that makes them, but I don’t have the link.
Not a huge fan of Microsoft using them though…
Wow, I usually don’t post in this forum either! However, I wanted to let Amanda know that she’s not alone with advertising segways invading campus. I was walking down Bruinwalk and I saw a fleet of Microsoft people on segways handing out the OneNote software during Welcome Week.
I guess with hundreds of clubs handing out stuff on UCLA’s campus this week, Microsoft needed to find a way to stand out and they sure did. I saw dozens of eager freshmen circled around the segways.
