Segwii

Seems Nintendo had the right idea, convert several Segways into Segwiis.

Add a Plasma, power supply, and a Wii along with a better kick stand and you have something kick @#@#$@#! Photos below…

Thats interesting that you posted that. After playing Monkey Ball on a Wii at a friends house last night (technically this morning), I was thinking how its similar to Segway control. You tilt the controller forward to accelerate, back to slow down and rotate sideways to turn. I immediately thought of riding a Segway. Glad to see they coupled the two uniquely controlled devices for the promotion.

I think Nintendo did a good job with marketing the fun to play over the better to look at strategy. I am not a big gamer, but after playing Wii I think I may just have to get one.

After braving the cold outside Target last night, I got to play my Wii this morning. At Target, some guys had an inverter and were playing Super Smash Brothers: Melee in the back of their van, but it would have been a lot cooler on a Segway. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am amazed at how intuitive everything is, although I feel that sometimes the controller is misinterpreting what I am trying to do in Wii Sports. I haven’t had a chance to play any other games yet, but the system is really nice and I love the change from a typical controller system to something completely new. I can’t wait to see what kind of games developers come up with for the Wii, because it seems like a really nice platform.

That the Segway and the Wii are easy to learn and intuitive to use is a sign of the quality of the engineering and design that went into them.

Thats very creative and if we had the money to do that our team would!

It would be cool to have a wii remote as a controller for our 2007 robot considering that our controller last year was too big and very hard to transport to the different events we participated in over the summer.

Those were good times. We’ll win next time.

I agree with you on the controller not correctly interpreting what I want to do. That could also be because we’re not used to it yet. I’m sure it’ll come naturally over time.

Very neat, who does not love Segway PTs and Wiis.

I have my wii for sale actually- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220050889448

Agreed. I had a chance to play Wii Sports for several hours on Tuesday, and I was amazed. Tennis and Bowling were both right on. Wii Golf was pretty difficult when it came to putting though. The controller seems to have difficulty interpreting small motions making it very difficult to putt. I’m sure I could figure it out though eventually though. Wii Boxing was far too entertaining to watch. Personally I’m waiting for a Wii FPS.
