Sheet Metal Chassis Inventor

Well with all the free time that I have now I have been wanting to try to make a good sheet metal chassis in inventor. I have never done one before and was wondering if anyone has good tips on making them effectively. I’ve been working with the sheet metal features a little but do not know the extent of the features. designing the parts seem slow as well as they leave some weird bend reliefs which can be compensated for but still not perfect. I have been looking at 148 and 118 cad for inspiration but I am still confused about how they get everything so perfect. It seems to me like it will just take lots of work and measuring to get stuff to line up or possibly adaptive parts in assembly. Any help works thanks!

Using the bend feature instead of flange lets you get those perfect dimensions easily without having to guess and check. That way you can create two faces at whatever angle (using planes to get that angle, and drawing the sketches on those planes) and use the bend tool to connect them. I haven’t done a lot of sheet metal parts in Inventor in a while, but I recall it worked like that.
